Bro Robert McCarter was President of The Parent Club presiding.<\/p>\n<p>The following are the 13 who were initiated in Derry on 18<sup>th<\/sup> December 1917 to form The Garvetagh Branch Club and whose name is on the Charter: Thomas Simpson, Matthew Dunbar, John Wauchop, Joseph Glass, Oliver Campbell, Robert Forsythe, John S. Simpson, Edward Montgomery, Robert McCain, James Monteith, Samuel Condy, Thomas Mortland &amp; James Bogle.<\/p>\n<p>Past Presidents up to 1954:<\/p>\n<p>1918 \u2013 1921\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro Thomas Simpson<br \/>\n1922 \u2013 1924\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro John S. Simpson<br \/>\n1925 \u2013 1926\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro Andrew Gilmore<br \/>\n1927 \u2013 1931\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro Robert Sproule<br \/>\n1932 \u2013 1932\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro Thomas Watson<br \/>\n1933 \u2013 1933\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro John S. Taylor<br \/>\n1940 \u2013 1946\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro George Hemphill<br \/>\n1947 \u2013 1954\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Bro Robert Montgomery<\/p>\n<p>Bro Matthew Dunbar who was 70 years of age on 1<sup>st<\/sup> May 1953 and was one of the thirteen who were initiated in Londonderry on 18<sup>th<\/sup> December 1917 held the office of Vice President from 1918 \u2013 1924. He took over the office of Treasurer in 1925 and held it for over 27 years. He was initiated in 1917 and he attended all demonstrations and only missed twice up to 1954.<\/p>\n<p>The following served King and Country during World War II: Bros. David Dickson; RAF, David Henderson; Army, Thomas William Rutledge; Army, James Scott; Army, George Turish; Army, Robert Montgomery; Army, Samuel R.
