The branch was formed on the 6th April 1964 in Paisley Orange Hall. The Charter members were Bros. W. Gilchrist, H. Tomlinson, G. Fisher, D. McDonald, A. Adams, C. Burns, J. Montgomery, R. Tomlinson, L. Ewing, J.Ewing, R. Milton, J. Murray and D. Mcllroy. The branch hosted the Scottish Amalgamated Committee May Rally on two occasions (1981 and 2000) and in 1988 we hosted the Scottish Amalgamated Church Service and Parade to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Shutting of the Gates. On April 2004 we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary. Our longest serving and founder member is Bro. Lewis Ewing who has nearly 46 years service.
